"After his retirement, my father lived with us in Delhi and also in regional New South Wales until his passing", says Jayantha (Jay) Bhakta. "He donated his entire pension during this period to educate girls in underprivileged communities near Delhi and our hometown, Kanchrapara in West Bengal. So I was thrilled to sponsor an IIMPACT Learning Centre in Mamudpur, 24 Parganas, also in West Bengal. It is a fitting memorial to my father and he would be very pleased to help close the gender gap in literacy for girl children in India."
