iimpact India is funded largely by corporate donors in India. Many of these companies have been impacted by the global pandemic and some have cut back their funding. As a result, we now have 80 Learning Centres without ongoing funding that are at risk of closure.
Due to lockdown restrictions, Learning Centres are not fully operational, but teachers need to be retained and paid. Under new Alternate Learning Arrangements, the children attend the centres in batches of 10-15 per day under strict COVID safety protocols.
