4 million girls unable to attend school in rural India

Did you know that India exhibits the world’s most significant gender gap in literacy? Over 4 million young girls in rural regions are unable to attend school.

iimpact Australia works with communities to set up Learning Centres for girls aged 6-14. We raise donations that fund the site, learning materials, and teaching staff.

Since 2003, we have identified over 1,500 villages with alarming disparity, providing the gift of education to over 100,000 girls.

You can help today by making a contribution that will fund education for young girls: $100 will educate one girl for one year, while $2500 will fund an entire learning centre, for 30 girls, for a year!

iimpact Australia was established in 2013 to help fund the provision of Learning Centres for young girls in rural India. We are a small band of professionals who volunteer to raise donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations.

IIMPACT India was established in 2003 by a batch of students at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. They are our service delivery and management partner on the ground in India.

iimpact Learning Centres have female teachers only, and an all-girl classroom. This creates a safe and secure environment for learning. This encourages parents to allow their girls to participate in education.

Public schools tend to be located in the larger towns. The school fees are too high for rural families earning poverty-line wages, and safety is an issue with long travelling distances.

iimpact India provides all teaching materials, teacher training, and manages the overall performance of each Learning Centre.

Each village community provides the physical facilities, and a local committee oversees operations.

IIMPACT Australia is certified as a Deductible Gift Recipient by the Australian Tax Office, so your donation is fully deductible!

We are also compliant with State and Federal requirements and registered with the Australian Charities & Not-for-profits Commission.
