IIMPACT Australia

IIMPACT Australia was established in 2013 by alumni of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, to fund the education of the girl child in rural India. We are a small band of professionals, volunteering to raise donations from individuals and foundations. We have no religious or political affiliations.

Tax Deductibility

IIMPACT Australia is an endorsed Deductible Gift Recipient from 1 July 2017 so donations to the organisation are tax deductible. 100% of donation funds received by IIMPACT Australia are applied to the operation of a Learning Centre for the education of primary school aged girls. Members fund all administrative costs so donors do not have to.

ACNC Compliance

IIMPACT Australia was approved by and registered with the Australian Charities & Not-for-Profits Commission on 14 March 2013. The ACNC imposes accountability and transparent reporting obligations on charitable organisations. We comply with all requirements and report our finances annually to the ACNC. You can check us out here.

Indian FCRA Regulations

The Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act 2010 in India (FCRA) now requires all charities to use overseas funds to directly pay for expenses, rather than via third parties (such as the NGOs that deliver services for IIMPACT India). This affects all foreign-funded charities in India.

To comply with these regulations, IIMPACT India will now directly pay around 70% of costs (such as teacher salaries, supervision, teaching materials) for each LC sponsored by IIMPACT Australia, from the AUD funds we send them. They will cover the balance of overheads (30%) for each LC from their local INR fundraising.

Learn more about our delivery partner

IIMPACT Australia works closely with IIMPACT India, our service delivery partner for the education of girl children in rural India. We fund Learning Centres operated by IIMPACT India, under a Memorandum of Understanding that governs service delivery, accountability and performance reporting.

Sponsors are also invited to visit Learning Centres in person or via video-conference and meetings can be arranged with the IIMPACT India team.
