Ten years since we set up our first few centers in the year 2003-2004, IIMPACT has become a driving force for literacy, education and even social reform in several Indian states. This special report focuses on several proud alumni from our pilot project in Alwar, Rajasthan.

After more than a decade of hard work, there is nothing more gratifying than seeing thousands of girls graduate from IIMPACT’s learning centers and further continue their education in the 6th grade and beyond. In areas where schools are few, and incomes are exceptionally low, the obstacles that our girls face are wide and varied. But they have demonstrated considerable strength in the face of adversity, and have worked hard for what is rightfully theirs – the opportunity.

Many of our alumni in secondary schools and colleges dream of becoming teachers, lawyers, police officers, members of the local panchayat and are pursuing courses in nursing, food preservation and computers. They aspire to give back to the society, and to their parents, who made sacrifices for them and were instrumental in their success.

Today, they are confident, and have a progressive vision. A vision for a good life and a bright future.

All the above validates – ‘’Educate a girl and you benefit generations to follow.’’
