IIMPACT Australia is supporting six Learning Centres and seeing through the girls through their primary school education. These centres are:

Mamudpur, South 24 Paragnas (West Bengal)
Indpur, Alwar (Rajasthan)
Lendharjori, Raigarh (Chhatsigarh)
Nuh, Mewat (Haryana)
Tarruwala, Sirmaur (Himachal Pradesh)
Rahimapur, Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh)

195 girls have been enrolled in these Centres. If not for the opportunity afforded by these Centres, these girls would not have attended any school!

Success of the learning centres is underpinned to a great degree by the vocational-centric nature of education. Learning centre teachers are trained to impart knowledge as well as analytical and application skills. This ensures that the education is geared towards the needs of the girls. In addition, the connection between the teachers and the girls is strengthened celebrations and events on special occasions such as the  International Women’s Day and the Indian Republic Day.

Please do make some time to read through the Annual Progress Report, especially the case studies at the end of the report.

I encourage you to share the report with your friends and family and anyone with an interest in furthering the education of girls.
